Zero-Waste Skincare: How To Have A More Sustainable Routine
The best beauty routines are not only about helping your skin glow but also about helping do your part for the environment. We do our part with our range of natural skin soaps by adopting a zero-waste policy and ensuring everything can be used or easily recycled.
We firmly believe in doing our part to contribute to a circular economy, but everyone can do their part by taking some simple steps to make their routine more sustainable.
Look For Refillable, Biodegradable Or Minimal Packaging
The big fear when it comes to sustainable skincare is being well-intentioned but inadvertently buying a product that greenwashes to look more sustainable than it is.
The easiest way to find a truly zero-waste product is to start with its packaging. Our soaps have as little packaging as possible, and all of our packaging is plastic-free and easily recycled.
Not all products can be stored as minimally as ours, but look for products that have recyclable lids, are biodegradable or are refillable, as all of these contribute to a zero-waste world.
Go Water Free Where Possible
An advantage of buying bars of soap, shampoo and skincare products is that they do not use a lot of water to provide their benefits.
There are a lot more options when it comes to water-free beauty than there were in the past, and using water-free products also means that manufacturers will rely less on parabens and preservatives, protecting your skin from the hormone havoc that they can cause.
Keep It Simple And Sincere
Much like water-free beauty, skinimalism was the perfect antidote to the conspicuous cosmetic consumption of the early 2020s, but an uncomplicated beauty regime is often much better for your skin than overdoing serums, oils and creams with lots of active ingredients.
Stick to three to five products that work for your particular skin needs, have natural ingredients and are able to multitask.
